Game Design with Scratch

In Game Design, students learn basic video game coding concepts by making different types of games, including racing, platform, launching, and more! Students will learn about the different genres of games and how computer science is redefining the entertainment industry. In the process, they learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively  — essential skills for everyone in today’s society. This is camp is suitable for ages 7-11. By the end of this program, students will be ready to take on more complex visual programming courses and be on their way to learning text-based coding languages like HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

At the end of this camp students will learn:

• Visual Programming fundamentals
• Algorithms and Sequences
• Engineering design principles
• Principles of game design
• Game genre

This camp runs Monday - Friday from 9am - 3:30pm. For extended hours, before-care (8am-9am) and after-care (3:30pm-6pm) may be purchased at additional cost.
