Cyber Security Camp

Kids need to be prepared to make smart decisions to make the most of the Internet. This Cyber Security camp teaches kids the fundamentals of digital citizenship and internet safety so they can explore the online world with confidence. Campers learn how to be safe and successful citizens in our networked world. Lessons are reinforced by gamification techniques, using an adventure-packed online platform that makes learning about digital safety and citizenship interactive and fun – just like the Internet itself. This camp is also packed with loads of fun exercises that foster group discussion and collaboration, and campers are sure to have fun all week.

Five fundamental topics of digital safety and citizenship that form the Internet Code of Security covered in this camp include:
• Share with Care (Be Internet Smart)
• Don’t Fall for Fake (Be Internet Alert)
• Secure Your Secrets (Be Internet Strong)
• It’s Cool to Be Kind (Be Internet Kind)
• When in Doubt, Talk It Out (Be Internet Brave)
In the end, campers leave with a certificate of accomplishment recognized by Google and an Internet Safety badge they can showcase with friends and family.

This camp is best suited for ages 8-11, but as educators with both older and younger students, we have found value in the curriculum, particularly with key vocabulary, class discussions (aged up or down), and gameplay.

This camp runs Monday - Friday from 9am - 3pm. For extended hours, before-care (8am-9am) and after-care (3:30pm-6pm) may be purchased at additional cost.
